SEXISM in the workplace

Additionally, sexual orientation inclination is destructive to men and ladies in light of the fact that generalizations are not generally genuine and have a bogus perspective of either sexual orientation is not reasonable (Kramer, 2014). Many females are considered weak and women are regularly stereotyped as being feeble and uninvolved and would come up short in an aggressive workplace on the grounds that they are not as intense as men (Becerra, 2015). Women in our audience might only be looked at and judged as a helpful human being when they are cooking or cleaning.

Sex or gender discrimination is treating individuals differently in their employment specifically because an individual is a woman or a man, or recently because the individual is homosexual or transgendered. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a federal law that protects individuals from discrimination based upon sex. This law makes it illegal for an employer to discriminate against individuals because of their sex in hiring, firing, and other terms and conditions of employment, such as promotions, raises, and other job opportunities.
A recent study reported that one in three women between ages 18-34 has been sexually harassed at work. The highest industry that found a prevalent amount of sexual harassment is food service/hospitality. Many women do not report sexual harassment or they do not consider the behavior to be harassment. From an unwelcome comment to inappropriate physical touching, this harassment should be reported every time. Not only is there harassment, but the workplace overall is sexist as a group. Female workers make up 6.2% of the top earning positions. The salary of a woman is also 82% of what men make.
