This video brings awareness to the fact that most women are looked down upon in comparison to men. The phrase " Like A Girl" is stated by the director and in each scenerio, things done "like a girl", derogitory actions are played out to make women seem uncapable, or weak.
The director asks a little 8 or 9 year old boy to throw like a girl, and he throws the ball in a weak fashion where the ball goes no where. When the little boy was asked if he thinks he is making fun of his sister when he throws the ball "like a girl", he says not his sister in particular, but the director questions him and says but don't you think you were making fun of girls and your sister is a girl isn't she? The little boy is then stumped because he realizes that he was unintentionally dissing females. This video just shows the gender separtion, that even to a 8 or 9 year old boy the value of woman has already been dimished.
When the actor then asks a young girl to run like a girl, she runs hard with all her might, or when she is asked to throw a ball she throws it as if she is a profession baseball player. Being a girl isn't something to be ashamed of in her eyes, to her she is an equal like everyone else and capable of executing things just as well as even a man.
